Axon invests $1.2B in autonomous drone maker Skydio at $5.2B valuation

Axon, the public safety technology company, is investing $1.2 billion in Skydio, a manufacturer of autonomous drones used by law enforcement, first responders, and defense agencies. The investment values Skydio at $5.2 billion on a pre-money basis and gives Axon a minority stake in the company.

Skydio's drones are deployed by public safety agencies across the United States and by the US military and allied nations. The investment strengthens an existing partnership between the two companies focused on public safety applications.
