Advertising Terms

Booking and payment

• Ads are booked for a slot (homepage banner, article banner, in-feed card, in-story feature, or newsletter sponsor), a start date, and a length of 7, 14 or 30 days.
• We run one advertiser per slot at a time. Unpaid checkouts hold the dates for about 30 minutes.
• You pay the full price up front, in US dollars, by card through Stripe. Prices are per day and shown before you pay.
• Booked dates run in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC): an ad starts at 00:00 UTC on its start date and ends at 00:00 UTC after its last day.

Review

We review every ad before it runs, usually within one business day. If we don't approve it, we refund you in full. We may ask you for changes instead, and we can decline any ad at our discretion.

What ads can't include

Ads must be honest, legal, and suitable for a general audience. We don't accept ads that:

• are sexual or suggestive, or promote adult services;
• promote gambling, betting, weapons, tobacco, vaping, recreational drugs, or "get rich quick" schemes;
• promote political candidates, parties or causes, or take sides on divisive social issues;
• make false, misleading or unproven claims, including health or financial claims;
• impersonate another person or company, or look like our own news content;
• contain malware, lead to deceptive pages, or collect data without consent;
• infringe anyone's trademarks, copyrights or other rights, or are hateful, violent or shocking.

Your ad and its rights

You confirm you own or have permission to use everything in your ad and the page it links to, and that they comply with the law. You give HONNYDO LLC permission to display your ad on the site for the booked dates and to show it in our own materials as an example of an ad on the site.

Running your ad

• We run your ad in its slot for the booked dates. Other slots may show other ads at the same time.
• We count clicks on your ad. We don't guarantee a number of views, clicks or sales.
• If your ad or the page it links to breaks these terms after approval, we can pause or remove it. We'll refund unused days unless the ad was removed for a serious breach.
• If the site is down or your ad doesn't run for a full day or more for reasons on our side, we'll extend your booking or refund those days, whichever you prefer.

Cancellations and refunds

• Not approved: full refund, automatically.
• Cancel before your ad is approved: full refund.
• Cancel after approval but before the start date: refund minus a 10% processing fee.
• After your ad starts: no refund for days already run; unused days are refunded only as described above.

Responsibility

You're responsible for your ad and the page it links to, and you agree to cover HONNYDO LLC's reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of them. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA.
